Hi, I’m Megan.

I’m a mom of three, a plant lover, and a sporty spice at heart. I feel most at peace in the woods, and that’s where the inspiration for Understory began.

The idea first sparked on nature walks with friends, when we’d gather pieces of nature and turn them into wreaths. Those fun and simple moments showed me how calming and connective nature can be and I wanted to share that feeling with others.

The understory, the space between the forest floor and the canopy, felt like the perfect name. It’s a place of hidden growth and overlooked beauty, just like the inner parts of ourselves we often don’t see until we slow down.

Through floral design, workshops, and tarot readings, my hope is to create that same sense of discovery for others: uncovering beauty, honoring the earth, and connecting with what lies just beneath the surface.

All of my materials are gathered with care, often on walks with family and friends, which have become a grounding practice of self-care for me. My intention with Understory is simple: to offer services that nurture the soul, foster healing and growth, and remind us of the quiet magic always waiting in nature.
